Interview

Interview with Jeff Kidd

If someone was going to make your life into a movie, who would play you?

I am a hard core Surfer, Snow skier, Horseman and Mtn. Biker. So, they would have to cast someone that could do all of these things. I would be so picky on the details and all of the action that I would just probably just have to play myself!

When did you first perform?

I was always the class clown and always had to be in the spot-lite. I can not remember a time that I was not performing.

Who do you look up to as an actor?

I really look up to several of the actors that I have worked with. Greg Perrow (Gregory James), Ben Davies, Irene Santiago Baron, Don Hartman, David Shifter, Darren Conrad, Mel Burch, Erin Bethea, Beth Felice, Rebecca Rogers Nelson and Suzie Cannon Haines. These actors are the hardcore “Working Actors” that are doing all the right things to hone this craft and they are the names you will be seeing in the future.

What’s your next move, do you have any other projects coming up?

I stay busy with lots of commercial work locally to the Southeast and Mid Atlantic. I am just now finishing up a Feature film “8th Round Pick” which has garnered much buzz and respect on the Right Coast!

Do you ever get star struck?

I do get a little starstruck at first when I meet someone big in the Film Industry on set. I have worked with many big Hollywood Directors, Actors and Producers/Crew over the years so I am pretty calm now. I do get butterflies just before a big scene though…

What role would you love to play/ be your dream role?

I would love to be the big action guy. A snow skier/surfer Spy or a really bad guy is my hope for some day soon.

How did you get started acting?

I started as an Emcee for the Comedy Zone and Burlesque shows during my College years. I realized I had a knack for speaking to the public. I was coaxed into the Real Estate Biz and was very successful for many years. I was always the face of the companies that I sold for. These companies spent many dollars and time to train me as a Salesman and Public Speaker. When the bottom dropped out in 2008 I walked away and began this wild ride in Show business.

Where do you see yourself 5-10 years from now? Still acting or retired?

I feel that this is where I should have been from the start. I will be acting and in front of people till my last breath…

What other types of movies would you be interested in filming?

High Action and Emotional Thrillers.

Who was your role model? Why?

Of course my Dad. He was kind, gentle, sweet and always did the right thing. A model human.

What’s your message to the youth of today’s generation?

Get out of your phones. Play outside, love yourself and others. Listen to the other side. Do not be fooled by the status quo. Just because you hear it on tv does not mean it is true and right!

Up until now, What has been your most memorable role? Why?

Cliff Kesterson in “TEXAS REIN”. I learned so much on set. The vibe was positive and the people were such upstanding folks.
